We are huge Apple fans and love the new Apple Vision Pro. We also love spatial video and figured we would make a cool way for folks to share that. Here is what we have been up to lately …

  • Free AI-narration and Creator subscriptions

Apple just released our version 1.4.1 which has AI-powered narration for images, ambient sounds, and the Creator subscription add-on for folks who are interested in that sort of thing. Personally I am really liking the AI narration … it’s very soothing and I find that I am learning things!

We hope you like this latest version and, if you do, please review Share Spatial in the app store!

  • Free maps for everyone!

We have been having so much fun with our “See the World” feature and Share Spatial’s ability to let you see all these great spatial images in the context of where they were taken … that we have decided to provide part of the interface freely to all users!

    Take a look:

Unlike other apps that rely on EXIF data (which has all kinds of privacy implications) or worse, make the creators type in latitude and longitude manually, Share Spatial is using artificial intelligence to put the images near where they were taken automatically.

    How cool is that?

You can download Share Spatial version 1.3.2 from the VisionOS app store now!

  • Version 1.3 is live

We had a speedy approval of version 1.3 and it is live in the app store in time for the weekend! Grab it when you have a chance and here is what is new:

    • You can long-tap when looking at any image to like or unlike that image, even in immersive space now!
    • We have added some system-wide messaging so that you’ll know if we have made changes
    • We have continued to clean up the user interface to remove all the stuff you don’t need so that you can just focus on the images
    • We have added 360 panorama images as a category and hope to add a bunch of those soon!
    • We have implemented an in-app browser so you won’t have to open Safari and all those tabs anymore

Also, if you have the “See the World” add on already, we have dramatically improved that interface by making the pins easier to tap and, where there are a lot of pins in one place, given you the ability to long-tap on any pin and that opens a much more resolved map (albeit in two dimensions, just for now.)

The 2D map will let you drag and pinch just like in Apple Maps and explore all of the images for a particular area. Use the globe to go to, say, Yosemite in California, and then long-tap a pin to see just how many photos there are in the area.

    Have fun!

  • Version 1.3 is coming soon!

We just pushed version 1.3 to our testers with this message:

    1) Zoom mode in “See the World” … long-tap on any point in a cluster and we zoom into a nice 2D map that you can explore with ground-level resolution. Close zoom at the top of the screen (see the “X”) and double-tap the globe to get the “X” to close the globe * if you don’t have “See the World” in-app purchase let me know and I can activate it for you

    2) All info stays in the app now with in-app browsing! Close the page with the “X” just above the browser;

    3) System messages shown once when necessary

    4) LIKE and UNLIKE in the immersive view!!! This is the biggest request we have had: now, when you’re looking at any image or video you can long-tap and it will “like” or “unlike” (depending on current state) with feedback. Give it a try!

    5) We have added “360 panorama” images with this build. We are scouring the Internet looking for them and they are pretty cool when executed well

Be on the lookout for the public release next week!

  • Integration!

We are on a roll at Share Spatial this week and hot on the heels of a very successful rollout of our “See the World” feature we have rolled out version 1.2 with full integration with our web site!

    Have a look:

Now you can go from any page on this site — our Curated Collection, our Panorama Wall, or our free to use See the World map and immediately open the content you are interested in with Share Spatial.

    How cool is that?

This is, of course, all free and we hope that it allows even more of you to make good use of our platform on the Apple Vision Pro. And speaking of more of you … we got this note today from our hosting platform:

We have been so focused on creating the application we didn’t even realize that traffic numbers had spiked in the last week but for that we are grateful. Thank you to everyone who has helped us, is helping us, and who has downloaded Share Spatial and is enjoying the fruits of our labor.
